01

Wine country, moved by the hour

We move households between the Bay Area and Napa and Sonoma counties, and within the Napa Valley. In 2026 we completed a Napa to St. Helena move, booked a San Francisco to Rohnert Park move and a Sausalito to Santa Rosa move, and moved storage from Livermore to Napa. An Albany customer added a Napa stop to an East Bay move. These are local moves, billed by the hour.

02

Why it is hourly, not by weight

Napa and Sonoma are within reach of a one-day move from most of the Bay Area: load in the morning, drive, unload the same day. So we price them like any local move: an hourly rate for the crew and truck, a 3-hour minimum, and the drive between the two homes counted twice under California's double drive time rule. There is no mileage or fuel charge.

03

A real valley move

The Napa to St. Helena move, about 18 miles up Highway 29, took 6 billed hours. At today's 3-mover rate that is 6 x $175 = $1,050 before supplies. For a move from San Francisco to Santa Rosa, about 55 miles, the drive alone is roughly 75 minutes in light traffic, which becomes about 2.5 billed hours. With that much drive time on the clock, having every box packed and sealed before the crew arrives matters even more on these routes.

04

Country properties

Valley homes can sit at the end of long gravel drives, behind gates, or on hillsides off narrow roads. Send photos of the approach. If our 26 ft truck cannot get close, David tells you before move day whether a shuttle is needed. Wine collections, barrels and large outdoor pieces should be mentioned when you book so we plan the crew. Anything over 300 lbs needs a photo first.

05

Choosing the crew

On a long drive, the drive is billed at the full crew rate, so the crew size should fit the home. Our standard team is 3 movers at $175 per hour. Homes with 3 bedrooms over 1,800 sq ft, or 4 bedrooms and up, get 4 movers at $235. For a very small move, or if you ask, 2 movers at $145.

06

Arrival time

For a San Francisco or East Bay pickup the arrival window is 9 to 11 AM, and from the South Bay or Peninsula it is 8 to 10 AM. For a pickup in Napa or Sonoma, ask us for the arrival time when you book.

Questions and answers
