How a bridge move is billed
The hourly rates are the same every day: 2 movers $145, 3 movers $175, 4 movers $235, with a 3-hour minimum. Here is how the drive works on a move into Vallejo from elsewhere in the Bay Area:
- We do not bill for our trip to your first address or back to our yard.
- The drive between your old and new home is billed as job time, doubled under California rules because the addresses are more than 10 minutes apart.
Moving blankets, tape, wardrobe boxes, floor protection and furniture disassembly and reassembly are included. Packing supplies are charged as used.
From a studio to four bedrooms: Vallejo move costs
We took the billed hours from moves our crews completed between July and October 2026 and turned them into the cost ranges below. A quarter of those jobs ran shorter and a quarter ran longer. Your invoice reflects the real time on your job, nothing more.
| Home size | Crew | Typical hours | Typical cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio | 3 movers, $175/hr | 3.5 to 4 hours | $613 to $700 |
| 1 bedroom | 3 movers, $175/hr | 3 to 4.5 hours | $525 to $788 |
| 2 bedrooms | 3 movers, $175/hr | 4.5 to 7.75 hours | $788 to $1,356 |
| 3 bedrooms, under about 1,800 sq ft | 3 movers, $175/hr | 7 to 12.5 hours | $1,225 to $2,188 |
| 3 bedrooms over about 1,800 sq ft, or 4+ bedrooms | 4 movers, $235/hr | 7 to 12.5 hours | $1,645 to $2,938 |
From our closed local jobs for direct customers, July to October 2026: the middle half of billed hours by home size, including the drive between your two addresses and excluding account, partner-billed and full-packing jobs. Supplies are charged as used, with a 3-hour minimum.
Interstate 80 near the Carquinez Bridge is busy at commute hours, and because the drive between homes is billed, traffic shows up on a long local move. Being packed and ready when the crew arrives keeps the rest of the day short.
Where the Bay Area meets Solano County
Vallejo is the gateway to Solano County, at the top of the bay where the Napa River meets San Pablo Bay. Interstate 80 crosses the Carquinez Strait on the Carquinez Bridge into Vallejo, Interstate 780 runs to Benicia, and Highway 37 heads west toward Marin. Mare Island, the former naval shipyard, sits across the river from downtown.
A move into Vallejo from elsewhere in the Bay Area is a long local move, usually over a bridge. We plan for the drive and explain up front how it is billed.
A typical Vallejo move
In July 2026 we moved a two-bedroom household from Hayward to Vallejo with a three-mover crew and one 26-foot truck. That move is typical: an apartment or house in the East Bay, a drive up Interstate 880 and Interstate 80, and an unload the same day.
Vallejo homes
- Older homes near downtown and the waterfront, including Victorian-era houses with front steps and narrow interior stairs.
- Mid-century houses across the central neighborhoods, often single-story with a driveway.
- Newer subdivisions on the north and east sides and on Mare Island, with two-story homes, garages and in some cases HOA rules.
- Apartments and condos along the main corridors, with shared parking and sometimes an elevator.
