Two ways we price this route
Sacramento sits close enough to be moved like a long local job, and far enough that a reserved truck can make sense. We quote one of two ways:
- Hourly, like a local move. 3 movers at $175 per hour, 3-hour minimum, and the drive between your two homes counted twice under California's double drive time rule.
- Reserved truck, flat fee. A binding price for a 26 ft truck reserved only for your move, with the same team loading and unloading. Within California there are no extra charges for stairs, elevator, long carry or shuttle on this option.
We tell you which of the two fits when we quote. For larger homes we recommend a free on-site inspection first, so the price is based on what is actually in the house.

Drive time and crew size on this route
On an hourly Sacramento move the drive can be the biggest single line on the bill. With double drive time, a 90-minute drive becomes 3 hours of billed crew time, and every hour is billed at the rate for the full crew. Crew size follows the home: 3 movers at $175 per hour is our standard team, and 3-bedroom homes over 1,800 sq ft or 4 bedrooms and up get 4 movers at $235. Moves within California are delivered within 7 business days, or next day when you reserve the truck. Pickup in the Bay Area starts in the morning arrival window for your area (8 to 10 AM South Bay and Peninsula, 9 to 11 AM San Francisco and East Bay).
Payment
Hourly moves: no deposit, paid at the end by cash, money order, Visa or Mastercard (3% fee on cards). Reserved-truck moves: payment terms are written on the quote. Basic valuation of $0.60 per pound per article is included free, and full value protection is available from Baker International (bakerintl.com, mover ID 17421).

Do you do local moves within Sacramento?
No. Our crews are based in the Bay Area, so we handle moves between the Sacramento area and San Francisco or the greater Bay Area, not moves within Sacramento.
