Moving into or out of The Beacon on King Street
Moving at The Beacon on King Street in San Francisco? Management said they would add Spartan for residents. Free COI, 9-11 AM arrival, hourly rates.

What is different about moving here
3 items- Event days. King Street runs past the ballpark. On Giants game days the streets around Oracle Park fill up. If your date falls on a game day, an early start helps, or pick another day if you can.
- Caltrain and light rail. The 4th and King Caltrain station and the T Third line keep the area busy on weekdays, which matters for where the truck can wait.
- A tower move, not a house move. Most of the planning is about the building: the elevator reservation, the certificate and the loading spot management gives you.
Before move day
4 items- Ask management for the current move rules: approved hours, elevator reservation and any deposit.
- Forward the association's certificate requirements to us. We provide the COI at no charge.
- If the truck needs street curb, SFMTA temporary no-parking signs can reserve it. Apply well ahead of your date; our SF parking permit guide explains how.
- Measure large pieces against the elevator cab and door.
Our certificate is with the association
The Beacon Residential Community Association covers the towers at 250 and 260 King Street in San Francisco. Spartan's certificate of insurance was reissued to the association in June 2026, When we asked to be added as a vendor, management said they would add us and share our details with residents.
What it costs
The crew and truck are billed by the hour: 2 movers at $145, 3 at $175, 4 at $235. The minimum is 3 hours, after that we bill in 15-minute steps, and packing materials are extra only if you use them. Saturday and Sunday cost the same as any weekday. Blankets, tape, wardrobe boxes, floor protection and furniture disassembly and reassembly are included. Elevator waiting counts as job time, so a confirmed reservation saves you money.
Arrival
In San Francisco our morning arrival window is 9 to 11 AM. The crew calls 30 minutes ahead and protects the route from the unit to the elevator.
Spartan Moving Systems is an independent moving company and is not affiliated with the building, its owners or its management. Building rules change; always confirm the current move policy with management.
