Does the floor I live on change the price?
No. We bill by the hour, and the only effect of a high floor is the elevator time.

Rincon Hill movers for the residential towers near the Bay Bridge: freight elevators, loading docks, free COIs. 3 movers $175/hr. 1-877-417-6060.
Rincon Hill sits south of Market around First, Fremont, Beale and Harrison Streets, where the Bay Bridge leaves the city. Once an industrial and maritime district, it was rebuilt over the last two decades into a cluster of glass residential towers, with the Transbay Transit Center and Salesforce Park just to the north and South Beach and the Embarcadero to the east. The neighborhood is small in area but tall, and most residents live many floors above street level.
Because so much was built at once, many units share similar layouts: open kitchens, a living room with floor-to-ceiling glass, and bedrooms with sliding closet doors. That makes furniture placement quick at delivery, but large sectionals and glass tables need careful wrapping in blankets for the ride down.
Almost every home here is a condo or rental apartment in a high-rise or mid-rise building with a lobby, concierge and garage. For moving, the key pieces are the freight or service elevator, the loading area and the building's move rules. Many towers schedule moves in fixed time slots and require a certificate of insurance, which we provide free. A move from the 30th floor is not harder than one from the 3rd, but it depends on one elevator, so a reservation is everything. Storage cages, bike rooms and assigned garage spaces often hold more than residents remember, so empty those or tell us about them; the crew can collect from them on the way out if the building allows it.
ZIP 94105, which covers Rincon Hill along with part of South Beach and the Transbay area, sent us 7 public quote requests between mid-July and late October 2026, all for local moves; 4 of them were booked or completed. Two-bedroom homes were most common, with three of them, followed by two one-bedrooms and a studio.
The streets around the bridge approaches back up with commuter traffic, especially in the afternoon, and many curbs are reserved for loading, transit or garage entrances. If your building has a dock or a loading zone, that is where we work from. When it does not, the 26-foot truck needs around 40 feet of legal curb with its ramp, and a temporary permit can be processed if no legal space exists; details are on our SF permit page. Double-parking citations are added to the bill. David checks the building approach in advance and tells you whether a shuttle is needed.
One- and two-bedroom condos here are normally three movers at $175 an hour. Two movers at $145 fit a very small move, and four movers at $235 handle a three-bedroom over 1,800 square feet or a larger home. Every job has a 3-hour minimum, which for three movers is $525, then 15-minute increments. Elevator waiting is billed as job time, and there is no fee for the elevator or the floor number.
Since every home is billed by the clock, we pulled the hours from our own closed-out local moves and priced each range at the rate for the crew that size gets. Some moves finish faster and some run longer, and your bill follows the time the crew spends.
| Home size | Crew | Typical hours | Typical cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio | 3 movers, $175/hr | 3.5 to 4 hours | $613 to $700 |
| 1 bedroom | 3 movers, $175/hr | 3 to 4.5 hours | $525 to $788 |
| 2 bedrooms | 3 movers, $175/hr | 4.5 to 7.75 hours | $788 to $1,356 |
| 3 bedrooms, under about 1,800 sq ft | 3 movers, $175/hr | 7 to 12.5 hours | $1,225 to $2,188 |
| 3 bedrooms over about 1,800 sq ft, or 4+ bedrooms | 4 movers, $235/hr | 7 to 12.5 hours | $1,645 to $2,938 |
From our closed local jobs for direct customers, July to October 2026: the middle half of billed hours by home size, including the drive between your two addresses and excluding account, partner-billed and full-packing jobs. Supplies are charged as used, with a 3-hour minimum.
In a tower, the elevator sets the pace, so a reserved slot at both buildings does more for your total than anything else.
Rincon Hill is about 41 miles from downtown San Jose. The crew comes up US-101 or I-280, and the drive to you is not charged. Our San Francisco morning window is 9 to 11 AM, with a call about 30 minutes before arrival. Moving to the East Bay or the Peninsula? When the addresses are more than 10 minutes apart, the drive between them is doubled.

Waiting time is part of the job. A reserved slot at both buildings is the way to keep it short.
Yes, at no charge, once you send the management company name, mailing address and email.
Sometimes. Ask your building about clearance; if it will not fit, we load from the dock or the curb.
We dismount it and can connect it, but we never wall-mount TVs.
