What if I am not fully packed when the movers arrive?
The crew carries supplies and can pack what is left, billed hourly with materials as used. Tell David ahead so the plan fits the time.

If you are not finished packing when we arrive, the crew can pack what is left. The truck carries boxes and supplies, the time is billed at your hourly rate and materials are charged as used. If packing ends up being a big part of the day, you can compare against the Golden Package at the end.
02The most useful thing you can do
Tell David before moving day. A quick message that the kitchen and garage are still open lets him plan the right crew size and time, so the team arrives ready for it instead of discovering it at the door. A crew that knows what is waiting can pack and load in parallel. Even a rough count helps, such as how many rooms are unfinished and whether they include breakables. The worst case is a surprise that stretches the day into the evening.
03What happens on the day
- The foreman walks through with you and sees what still needs packing.
- Part of the crew packs while the rest starts loading the finished rooms.
- Supplies come off the truck as needed and are noted for the bill.
- At the end, you see the standard total and how it compares with a package.
04Things that slow it down
| Situation | What we will ask |
|---|---|
| Items in plastic bags | Repack into boxes; bags do not go on the truck |
| Food in the fridge or freezer | Deal with it yourself; we do not move food |
| Valuables and papers still out | Keep them with you |
| Open liquids | Seal and box them |
A head start helps: our moving checklist breaks the job into days, and the packing services page explains crew packing. You can also note packing help on the quote form.
05More packing questions
FAQQuestions and answers
Will the crew refuse to move unpacked items?
No. They will pack what is left, though loose items in bags have to go into boxes first.
Does last-minute packing cost more?
It is billed at the same hourly rate. It simply adds time, plus whatever supplies are used.
Should I warn you if I am behind?
Yes. Telling David early lets him set the crew and time for the day.
