Moving quotes in the Bay Area: what to send and what comes back

Short answer

You do not need a room-by-room inventory to get a quote from us. Four details give us enough for a rate, a crew size and a realistic time range:

Your moving date, plus a backup if you are flexible.
The pickup and drop-off zip codes. Street addresses can wait until you book.
The size of the home: bedrooms and rough square footage.
Packing: you pack, you want help with some rooms, or you want everything packed.

The zip codes tell us your arrival window and whether double drive time is likely. Home size sets the crew. Send them through the quote form or call 1-877-417-6060; the office is open 7 days a week, 7 AM to 8 PM.

Three kinds of quote

We do not do video estimates. They miss too much for a reliable number.

What our written quote shows

The hourly rate and the number of movers
The 3-hour minimum and the 15-minute billing after it
What is included: furniture disassembly and reassembly, moving blankets, tape, wardrobe boxes and floor protection
That packing supplies are charged as used
How the drive is billed: no charge to reach you, double drive time between homes more than 10 minutes apart
Payment: cash, money order, Visa or Mastercard, with a 3% card fee
Any discount that applies: 7% for returning customers and agent referrals, 5% for friend referrals

Comparing quotes from different movers

Two hourly numbers are only comparable if they describe the same job. Put the quotes side by side and check:

Is the rate for the whole crew, or per mover?
How many movers? A lower rate for a smaller crew can take longer.
How long is the minimum?
Is there a charge for travel to and from your home, a truck fee or a fuel charge?
Are blankets and wardrobe boxes included or extra?
Is there a card fee, and is a deposit required?
What is the California permit number? Look it up before you book.

We do not price-match. Our rate already reflects what it costs to run a licensed company with its own insured crew, and once quotes are compared line by line the gap often closes.

Reply to the quote that you want to go ahead.
We confirm the reservation for your date with an arrival window.
Send your full name, email and both addresses for the work order.
Sign online through the link in the confirmation email.
We check in with you 3 days before the move.
On moving day the crew calls about 30 minutes before arriving.

No deposit is needed to book a local move, and nothing is paid until the job is done.
