Bay Area to Arizona movers

We get Arizona requests from Bay Area households, a good number of them East Bay homeowners heading for the Phoenix area. In 2026 we booked an Orinda to Scottsdale move and quoted a Walnut Creek to Prescott Valley studio as a reserved-truck flat fee. Earlier, after an on-site inspection, we gave a Bay Area family a fixed-price proposal for their move to Arizona with a referral discount applied.

For an Arizona move of a full house, the estimate is only as good as the weight behind it. We send someone to walk through the home for free, then send a written proposal: either a weight-based estimate with a minimum space reservation, or a fixed price for a reserved truck. Video estimates are not offered because they miss too much.

• By weight (non-binding): estimated weight times the rate per pound, with a minimum space reservation. Extra weight is billed at the same rate. Delivery within 30 days of your first available date. Extra services such as stairs, long carry, elevator or shuttle may apply at delivery.
• Reserved truck (binding): a flat price for a dedicated truck, guaranteed pickup and delivery dates, the same team at both ends, no warehouse transfers and no third-party carriers. Access at delivery does not change the price.

Arizona moves often run into a closing date or a rental that starts later than the Bay Area lease ends. We can keep your shipment in our storage until you are ready, billed flat monthly in 30-day periods, or deliver it to a storage unit you rent in Arizona. Give us your dates when you book and we plan around them.

Summer heat in the Arizona desert is extreme. Candles, vinyl records, photos and some electronics deserve extra care; carry the most sensitive items with you. Hazardous materials, such as propane, gasoline and paint thinner, do not go on the truck in any season.

50% at pickup and 50% at delivery, by cash, money order, Visa or Mastercard; cards have a 3% fee. A friend referral takes 5% off; returning customers and real-estate-agent referrals get 7%. Basic valuation at $0.60 per pound per article is included; full value protection is available through Baker International.

If you are trading a large Bay Area house for a smaller single-story home, remember that the price follows weight, so decide before the walk-through what stays: heavy bookcases, old exercise equipment and garage shelving add weight quickly. The inspection then prices only what is actually going.
