Are Spartan's movers employees or subcontractors?

The movers who show up at your door are Spartan's own team. We do not hire day laborers or pass jobs to another company for local moves. The core of the crew has been with us since 2007, and even the newest member has been on the team since 2014.

A crew that has worked side by side for years moves differently. Everyone knows who lifts which end, how to wrap a piece before it hits a doorway, and how to load a truck so nothing shifts. That is time you are not paying for on an hourly bill.

The team is also covered by our own $1M workers' compensation policy, part of being a licensed California mover. Our general liability, auto and cargo coverage are in place as well, so the job is insured from the first box to the last.

Every crew has a foreman who leads the job and keeps the rest of the team on pace. On the day, the foreman is your point of contact for placement, priorities and any change of plan. The same experience carries into specialty jobs such as piano moving.
