What is the difference between the Silver and Golden packages?
Silver (+$35/hr) adds mattress covers and protection for bulky fragile items. Golden (+$70/hr) adds full packing of all loose items, supplies included.

Silver adds protection for your mattresses and large fragile pieces. Golden includes everything in Silver and adds full packing of every loose item in the home, with the labor and supplies covered. Both are an hourly add-on, and you decide at the end of the move whether you want either one.

What it looks like per hour with 3 movers
- Basic: $175 an hour
- Silver: $210 an hour
- Golden: $245 an hour
The add-on applies to the entire completion time, not just the hours spent packing. Every hour of the move, Silver adds $35 and Golden adds $70; over the 3-hour minimum that is $105 or $210. Without a package, any boxes, bubble wrap or covers you use are charged as materials. You can see the base rates on our moving cost page.
How to think about it
The packages exist so you are not counting boxes at the end of a long day. Some people pack everything themselves and only need a couple of covers; others hand the whole kitchen to the crew. - Does Silver include packing my dishes?
No. Silver covers mattresses and large fragile items like TVs, mirrors and glass tops. Packing kitchen contents and other loose items is part of Golden.
- Is the Golden add-on only charged while packing?
No, it is charged across the full completion time of the move.
- Can I get a discount on a package?
Repeat customers get 7% off the final price, and referral discounts also apply to the final total.
