Can movers take apart and move a sectional sofa?
Yes. Taking apart, wrapping and reassembling a sectional sofa is included in our hourly rate. Tight stairs add time, never a fee.
Is there an extra charge for disassembling a sectional?
No. Taking it apart and putting it back together is included. You pay only for the time it takes.
Do you wrap the sofa in plastic?
Every piece is wrapped in our moving blankets at no charge. Shrink wrap can be added on request and is charged as a material.
Will a sectional fit up my apartment stairs?
Most do once separated. Measure the tightest turn and send us the numbers, along with a photo of the piece.
What if my sectional is very heavy?
If any piece is over 300 pounds, send a photo and David will confirm how the crew will handle it.

Yes. Separating a sectional into its pieces, wrapping each one in moving blankets and putting it back together at the new place is included in every move. Sectionals are on the short list of furniture David names when people ask what we assemble: beds, sectional sofas and dining tables.
How the crew handles it
- Cushions come off and are bagged or boxed with the rest of your things.
- The sections are unhooked from their connecting brackets, and any legs that unscrew are removed and kept together.
- Each piece is wrapped in blankets so fabric and corners are protected on the stairs and in the truck.
- At the new home, the crew sets the pieces where you want them and reconnects them.
What affects the time

Just the sectional, nothing else?
