Will a moving truck fit on my narrow street or steep hill?
Send us the address. David checks access on Google Maps before move day and tells you if a shuttle is needed. Usually the crew finds a safe way to park.
Usually yes, and we check first
Most narrow lanes and hillside streets in the Bay Area are workable for our truck. When access looks tight, send David the address and he reviews it on Google Maps before moving day. He will tell you plainly whether the truck can reach your door or whether a shuttle is needed.
How the check works
- You share the pickup and delivery addresses, plus anything you know about the street.
- David looks at street width, turns, overhead branches and where the truck could stop.
- For hillside deliveries he pays special attention to the destination, since that is often the tighter end.
- He lets you know if the normal setup works or if a shuttle should be planned.
Our truck at a glance
| Detail | Figure |
|---|---|
| Length | 26 ft |
| Capacity | about 1,750 cubic feet |
| Curb needed with ramp | about 40 ft |
It is the largest truck you can drive without a commercial license, and that capacity is meant to carry a household in a single trip.
When a shuttle comes in
If the big truck truly cannot get close, items can be transferred to a smaller rented truck that runs between the two. That adds the rental and the extra labor, so David only suggests it when it is really needed. In most cases the crew simply finds the best place to park safely and carries from there, which only affects time on an hourly local move.
If your street is in San Francisco and has no legal stopping room, read the SF parking permit guide. To see which cities we cover, visit service areas.

Questions and answers
Can the truck get up a steep driveway?
Steep or narrow driveways are checked case by case. Often the truck parks on the street below and the crew carries up, which simply adds a bit of time.
Is there an extra fee for a hard-to-reach house?
Not on a local move. A longer walk only adds time; the one added cost would be a shuttle if David decides it is necessary.
Do you have a smaller truck for tight streets?
Our moves run on the 26 ft truck. If it cannot reach, a rented shuttle truck is the backup plan.
What does David need to check my street?
Just the full address. Notes about gates, low branches or tight turns help.
