Can I change my moving date after booking?
Changing your date is usually not a problem. If the new day is open, David switches the dates, your arrival window typically stays the same, and you get a revised confirmation by email.

Common reasons people move the date
Plans shift, and we expect it. Typical reasons include:
- Keys for the new place arrive a day later than planned
- A contractor or renovation runs behind
- New carpet or floors are being installed first
None of these need a long explanation. Just tell us the new date you have in mind, and if you are unsure between two days, mention both so we can check them at once. If the delay is open-ended, such as a contractor without a finish date, it is fine to tell us that too, and we will work out the new day together once you know more.
How the switch works
- Email or call with the date you want instead.
- We check whether that day is open.
- If it is, we switch the reservation and confirm the arrival window.
- If it is not, David offers the nearest open days.
- You receive a revised confirmation.
You can reach the office at 1-877-417-6060, 7 AM to 8 PM, any day.
Timing matters
The earlier you tell us, the more dates are likely to be open, especially if you are moving onto a weekend. We do our final confirmation 3 days before each move, so a change made before that point is the easiest to arrange. Our best time to move guide covers the busier periods, and the moving checklist helps you reset your plan around a new date. Remember to update anything tied to the old day as well, like an elevator reservation, a parking permit request or time off work.
More booking questions
More questions people ask
Will my rate change if I move the date?
No. Our hourly rate is the same every day of the week, so a new date does not change it. If anything else about the job changes, David tells you before switching.
What if my new date is full?
David will suggest the closest open days so you can pick one.
Does my arrival window change with the new date?
Usually not. The window depends on your area, so it typically carries over to the new day.
