Crescent Park is a residential neighborhood in the northeast part of Palo Alto, east of downtown. San Francisquito Creek runs along its northern side and forms the city line, with Menlo Park and East Palo Alto on the other bank. University Avenue runs along the neighborhood on its way out to US 101.
Addresses are in ZIP 94301. The streets are quiet and residential, with large single-family homes on generous lots and mature trees. Downtown Palo Alto, with University Avenue's shops and the Caltrain station, is a short drive west.
Because the houses are large and the furnishings often valuable, a Crescent Park move is mostly about care and planning: enough people, enough blankets and a clear order for every room.
Large homes go smoothly when the planning happens before the truck arrives. This is the order we work in:
We go room by room on site and note the pianos, art, antiques, stone tops and anything that will need a crate or special handling. That sets the crew size and the truck.
Mark what moves, what goes to storage and what stays behind. If a remodel or a closing date leaves a gap, storage is booked now.
For curb space on a residential street, Palo Alto asks residents to request no-parking signs from the Police Department's Parking Enforcement at least a week ahead. Many homes here have a driveway the truck can use instead.
Floor runners, door jamb pads and banister covers go down first. Furniture is wrapped in moving blankets in each room, and glass and marble are packed on their own.
Pianos, safes and large case pieces go on the truck first and are strapped in place. Art and mirrors ride upright in cartons, away from anything that can shift.
At the new home, every piece goes to the room you choose, beds are reassembled, and packing material is collected before the crew leaves.
Pricing is hourly with a 3-hour minimum: 2 movers at $145, 3 movers at $175 and 4 movers at $235, plus packing materials as used. Most full houses in Crescent Park need 3 or 4 movers; the walkthrough tells us which.
Moving blankets, tape, wardrobe boxes, floor protection and furniture disassembly and reassembly are included on every full-service move. Grand and upright pianos have their own page at piano movers, and the moving cost guide explains the hours.

Large homes with many rooms, a garage and sometimes a guest cottage. We plan the load so the rooms you need first come off the truck first.
When a house is being remodeled or rebuilt, everything goes into storage at a flat monthly price and comes back when the work is done.
Antiques, framed art, mirrors and stone-topped tables are wrapped or boxed individually. See packing services if you want the crew to pack everything.
Moving from a large house into a condo means sorting what fits. We move only what is going, and the rest can go to storage until you decide.
