From the Bay to the OC
Orange County is one of the Southern California destinations our Bay Area customers ask about most, alongside Los Angeles. Recent moves and quotes have gone from the South Bay and Peninsula to Newport Beach, Seal Beach and Ladera Ranch. A move from the Bay Area to Orange County stays inside California, so it is priced under the California long-distance rules, not hourly and not under interstate rules.
For moves to and from Los Angeles County, see our LA to Bay Area page.
Your three options
| Option | How it is priced | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Within California, by weight | Rate per pound, 3,000 lb minimum, non-binding (final price by actual weight) | Within 7 business days of pickup |
| Reserve the truck, by weight | 5,000 lb minimum, truck reserved for you | Guaranteed next day |
| Flat fee, whole truck | Binding price that does not change with weight | Guaranteed pickup and delivery dates |
On all California moves there are no extra charges for stairs, elevators, long carries or a shuttle at delivery. That matters in Orange County, where many destinations are condos, townhomes or gated communities with a long walk from the truck.
Large homes: two trucks, one team
When a home is too big for one truck, a second truck can be reserved on the same flat fee. Your belongings ride only on trucks reserved for your move. Nothing is transferred to a warehouse or another truck, and the same team that loads in the Bay Area unloads in Orange County. Full packing service, including all supplies and labor, can be added.
What is included

Unpacking of boxes is not included. Full value protection is available from Baker International at bakerintl.com (mover ID 17421). If your HOA asks for a certificate of insurance, send us the HOA name, mailing address and email.
