Will the movers mount my TV at the new home?

No. Our crew never wall-mounts TVs for liability reasons. We can take one down, move it safely and set it up on a stand at your new place.

No wall mounting

No, our movers do not hang televisions on walls. That is a firm rule for liability reasons, because a mount that fails later can damage the wall, the screen or someone standing below it. What we can do is bring the TV over safely and get it running on a stand or console.

Where our job ends and an installer's begins

Think of the TV as two separate jobs. Moving it is ours. Anchoring a bracket into studs, running cables inside the wall and leveling the screen belongs to a TV installer you book for after move day.

  • Taking it down: yes, as long as the bracket comes off without specialized tools.
  • Packing and transport: yes, ideally in a proper TV box so the screen is protected in the truck.
  • Connecting on a stand: yes, the crew can plug it in and get it set up on furniture.
  • Hanging it on the new wall: no, not on any move.

A smooth plan for TV day

  1. Mention the TV and its size when you ask for your quote, so the crew knows to have the right box on the truck.
  2. Keep the remote, small screws and the wall bracket together in one labeled bag inside a box, not loose.
  3. Decide where the TV will stand at the new home so the crew can set it there during unloading.
  4. Book an installer for the days after the move if you want it back on a wall.

Our moving checklist has room to note items like this so nothing gets forgotten in the rush.

Does setting it up cost extra?

There is no separate TV fee. Plugging it in on a stand is simply part of the crew's working time on your local move, which is billed by the hour. The only add-on is the box if you need one, priced as a packing material.

Questions and answers

Can I leave my TV on the wall for the movers to take down?

Yes, our team can remove it if the mount releases with ordinary hand tools. If it needs special equipment, it is better to have it taken down before we arrive.

Will you take the wall bracket off too?

If it comes off without specialized tools, the crew can remove it and pack it with the TV hardware so your installer has everything at the new place.

Who should I call to hang the TV after the move?

A TV installation service or handyman who does wall mounting. They can check the studs and wiring at the new home, which is outside what movers do.
